We help restore degraded landscapes and ecosystems.
For the last 15 years, The Rewilders has worked on projects in the states of Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Haryana, primarily focusing on protecting and restoring degraded landscapes.
One of the significant projects is the Aravali Biodiversity Park, Gurugram. The park has a distinction of being the first OECM site in India.

What is rewilding?
Rewilding is a conservation approach that aims to restore healthy ecosystems by creating wild, biodiverse spaces.
Most of our projects are located in the Aravalli landscapes. Often these patches are severely degraded due to decades of illegal mining, urbanization, encroachments, fragmentation and illegal waste dumping.
Faced with these challenges, forests cannot self-heal. They need a helping hand – through clearing of debris, slow removal of invasive species, and planting of native forest saplings of trees, shrubs, herbs and grasses. Once we create the right conditions, we wait and let nature take its course.
